Your Guide to Dining in Squirrel Hill

If you’ve just moved to the Squirrel Hill area, or are contemplating buying in the neighborhood, you’ll want to read this dining guide with five delicious options to try once you’re all moved in. Click on the title of each restaurant for more information.

1. Taiwanese Bistro Café 33

Taiwanese cuisine comes to Squirrel Hill in a converted laundromat behind the Shady Ave. Starbucks. As unsavory as that description sounds, this café is the epitome of cool. Potstickers are a must-try as are the mini soup dumplings with absolutely decadent dipping sauce. Not to be missed either are the just slightly crispy scallion pancakes served around a thick piece of beef.

2. Aladdin’s Eatery

This Lebanese-American restaurant has earned rave reviews for its simple, healthy cuisine. There are multiple locations across the Pittsburgh area, but the Squirrel Hill version is a standout. Their traditional kabobs are perfect for a busy takeout night when the family is running around. Don’t forget some of tantalizingly good hummus as a side.

3. Murray Ave. Grill

This neighborhood bar and grill is a cozy spot for meeting up for a girls’ night or taking the family for a weekend dinner. The restaurant has called Squirrel Hill home for over 30 years, so chances are you’ll meet quite a few regulars during your visit. Their Buffalo wings are a standout, and their burgers and BBQ chicken sandwich are not to be missed. Best of all, they have a great kids menu with sliders, chicken fingers, grilled cheese or a grilled chicken salad.

4. Napoli Pizzeria
